About the Founder
Paramjit S. Banga is the founder of PowerTech Consulting Inc., bringing more than two decades of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and real-world field experience in boiler, pressure-vessel, marine, and power-engineering operations across British Columbia. As a First Class Power Engineer, First Class Marine Engineer, and Former Technical Safety BC (TSBC) Boiler Inspector, Paramjit combines deep technical competence with a proven record of ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence in some of the province’s most critical industrial, marine, and institutional facilities.
Throughout his career, Paramjit has inspected, audited, and advised on thousands of boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems, marine systems, and high-energy plant operations. His background includes advanced understanding and practical application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, NBIC NB-63, CSA B51, B31 piping codes, TSBC Regulations, Marine Engineering standards, and provincial compliance frameworks. This unique combination of regulatory authority and hands-on engineering experience allows him to deliver guidance that is precise, code-aligned, and actionable for clients.
Paramjit is widely recognized for his ability to simplify complex engineering requirements for duty holders, permit holders, contractors, hospitals, industrial plants, marine operators, commercial buildings, and educational institutions. Whether he is leading a compliance audit, developing a TSBC-approved Quality Control Program (QCP), conducting a boiler condition assessment, or training the next generation of power engineers through BoilerTech Academy, he ensures clarity, accuracy, and a commitment to the highest safety standards.
